On October 21st, the NEVCA convened investors, experts, and industry veterans — involved in many interesting aspects of the technology-led kidney care revolution — for the final VC Briefing of the year.

The event gathered 90+ attendees and featured six speakers who touched on topics ranging from impacts of Covid-19 to areas of innovation in the Kidney Care space. Ian Chiang of Flare Capital Partners moderated a panel featuring Teddy Cha — Co-founder and CEO of pulseData, Satish Cheema — EVP and Chief Technology and Analytics Officer of Somatus, Stephen Chen — Founder and CEO of Scanwell Health, Nicki MacManus — VP of Kidney Care at CVS Health, and Mike Stuart — SVP Corporate Development at Somatus.

Jody Rose, President of the NEVCA kicked things off before panelists dove into a conversation covering a wide range of topics — from policy and market trends associated with the Executive Order on Advancing American Kidney Health and Chronic Kidney Disease, to key innovations in home-based diagnostics, to the impacts of COVID-19 on the future of the industry.

Thanks to all who came to such a fantastic, informational event, and a special shoutout to the panelists. Want to stay up to date on upcoming VC Briefings and other NEVCA events? Sign up for our newsletter!
