This week, the NEVCA co-hosted a one-of-a-kind event on Thursday June 13th with Incubate Coalition and WeWork for Health Massachusetts that offered interdisciplinary insights on the current landscape biotech innovators and investors are facing. The first panel, moderated by NEVCA president Jody Rose, dove into the challenges facing life science startups. With perspectives from the side of the investor and the researcher, we got to hear about the different attributes investors look for in a company when choosing to invest.

Featured speaker Peter Kolchinsky, managing partner at RA Capital and author of The Biotech Social Contract series, dove into an overview of prescription drug pricing. The second panel of the day turned the focus towards policy, with the lineup including Rhode Island’s Secretary of Commerce Stefan Pryor and former member of Congress Erik Paulsen. Check out some of the highlights of the day!
