The New England Venture Capital Association Announces Unpitch TECH 2020
BOSTON — December 10, 2019 — The New England Venture Capital Association has opened the application process for its annual Unpitch TECH program — a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to receive advice and feedback from leading venture capitalist general partners. Once again, the NEVCA is encouraging entrepreneurs from around the country to apply. For successful applicants, the event will take place on February 13th in Boston.
“Unpitch has become a pillar event in Boston, uniquely formatted to create connections and build relationships between entrepreneurs and investors, outside the typical pitch dynamic. Opportunities like this are something that set New England apart, and we’re excited to continue expanding on the Unpitch brand” said Jody Rose, President of the NEVCA.
Unpitch facilitates meaningful connections. It’s not about delivering an elevator pitch onstage, a “demo day” presentation, or trying to grab a few seconds with a venture capitalist in a conference hallway. Instead, Unpitch gives entrepreneurs a chance to build relationships with investors in a casual, no-pressure environment, receive meaningful feedback on their ideas, and make connections that help entrepreneurs get to the next stage.
Applicants can apply here until December 31, 2019, at 9 p.m. ET. There is no cost or age requirement to join Unpitch, but preference is given to applicants who have not previously participated in an accelerator program or raised institutional capital. Space is limited to approximately 30 investors and 60 entrepreneurs.
